Amy L. Waer, M.D., F.A.C.S. , received her Doctorate of Medicine
degree from the University of Arizona. She completed her general
surgery residency program at the University of Arizona Health
Sciences Center in Tucson. She is board certified by the American
Board of Surgery, and is a member of the Virginia Medical Society,
Virginia Beach Medical Society and the Association of Women
Surgeons. Her special interests include laparoscopic surgery
and breast surgery.
She grew up in Phoenix,
Arizona and currently resides in the Great Neck area of Virginia
Beach with her husband Richard, a nuclear engineer in the
U.S. Navy. In her spare time she enjoys gardening and
other outdoor recreational activities.
